Use & Care:

Apply a light coating of vegetable oil before cooking.
Preheat slowly before adding food.
Low to medium heat is sufficient for most cooking applications.
Cast iron becomes extremely hot; always use oven mitts or pot holders when handling.
Place on a heat-resistant trivet before serving at the table.
Never place hot cast iron into cold water, as thermal shock may cause warping or cracking.
Hand wash with hot water and a nylon brush or non-abrasive sponge.
Use a small amount of mild detergent only when required.
For stubborn residue, simmer a little water for one minute, allow it to cool and use a pan scraper.
Dry immediately and thoroughly after washing.
Apply a very light coating of cooking oil while the tray is still warm to help prevent rust.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Do not place in the dishwasher, as this will damage the seasoning and may cause rust.
